Data we collect

We do not collect personal data. SightReader Pro works entirely on your device: it has no backend server of ours and requires no registration. The only exception is purchases and subscriptions, which are handled by your app store and our billing provider, as described in "Purchases and subscriptions" below.

Data stored on your device

To make the app work, the following is saved locally on your device only:

• Your practice settings (instrument, difficulty, language, and similar preferences).
• Your progress: completed lessons, stars, experience points, and practice history.
• Optional microphone calibration values.

This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app (or clearing your browser data, if you use the web version) permanently deletes all of it.

Microphone

SightReader Pro can use your microphone for one purpose: listening to what you play or sing in order to score your sight-reading practice in real time. Audio is processed on your device, at the moment you practice.

• The microphone is only active when you start a scored exercise or a mic test, and it stops when the exercise ends.
• Practice recordings, if you make them, are kept on your device only and can be deleted by you at any time.
• No audio is ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared.

The app works without the microphone too: if you deny the permission, you can still practice and evaluate yourself manually.

Purchases and subscriptions

SightReader Pro offers optional paid features (a subscription and a lifetime purchase). Payments are processed by your app store (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store) and managed through our billing provider, RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.

To validate and restore your purchase, these services may process:

• Which product you bought and your purchase or renewal status.
• A randomly generated app user identifier (not your name or email).
• Basic device and technical information needed to complete and restore the transaction.

This data is used only to give you access to what you paid for and to restore it on your devices. For details, see the privacy policies of Google, Apple, and RevenueCat.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking. The only external service it uses is the billing provider described above, and only when you make or restore a purchase.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Making a purchase requires an app store account, which is managed by your app store under its own age and parental controls.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
